Intersectionality is both a concept and an analytical framework we can use to effect greater and more durable change to social inequalities. As part of the anti-oppressive tool-kit to social change, intersectionality means more than recognizing that our different identities contribute to a multiplicity of lived experiences. In this session, we explore the ways that we can use intersectionality as an analytical tool to increase diversity, equity and inclusion in all of our planning and programming work in the workplace and in our communities.
