Session 1: Understanding Oppression

Do you know the difference between discrimination and oppression? What are the major kinds of oppression that people experience in Canada today? Before we can undo oppression, we must first understand what it is and what causes it. Once we clearly understand how oppression functions and how it is reproduced, then we can set strategies to undo it and transform social inequalities into opportunities for success.
